Sunnyside Up in Savannah

Breakfast sandwich was just ok - sausage patties were dry, not much taste at all to the whole sandwich. Not impressed with their COVID procedures at all. Patrons were told to sit anywhere they like (no attempt at distancing between tables). The staff all had masks, but most had them covering only their mouths, not covering their noses including the cooks and cashiers. And the plastic guards at the registers were moved out the way instead of being between the patron and cashier. Don’t need to come here again for many reasons.

Very nice breakfast place in Savannah. The food is very good though I wouldn't order the omelet again. Everything else was delicious and filling.

Best greasy spoon on town. Nothing fancy, no fluff, just good, simple breakfast fare at terrific prices. Sometimes, that's all I want.

What to say about Sunnyside Up?What a great example of a fast paced restaurant! They time everything and have tons of kitchen staff on each station.They have a window for take out orders and you can seat yourself. Although there are many tables they don't follow social distancing but do wear masks. The food is AMAZING! We had a shrimp and spinach omelet and a seafood omelet. The pancakes are also very special, chew into it and like 5 seconds later a really nice flavor kicks in, like cream, and it's not too sweet so you can add honey or syrup.The coffee cups are made of steel so your coffee remains hot. Highly recommend it!

I love this place service is amazing and food is divine

The coffee was not very good. The hash browns were rubbery. Great male server. Rest of the food was decent. Just feel like Huddle House is better and wasn't expecting it to be.

Always good! Lived right down the street from here for several years and it was one of my go to places. Hard to get in Saturday and Sunday mornings. Consistently Great food no matter the time of day! Don't forget to put Sriracha on your Hash browns!!

Food was amazing. Place was completely packed when we got there and had to wait for the waiter to clear the table but he was great. I think his name was Anthony or Antonio, was very friendly and attentive. Wish it was closer to where I live.

Good food, tons of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. Use local shrimp right off boat when possible and VERY reasonable prices. Not fancy, but yummy. Closes around 3pm I think.

Reasonably priced breakfast and diner like food. I’ve have a few dishes there and my favorite is the shrimp and grits. Fast and good!

Great food and selection. Sunnyside Up is an example of what a successful restaurant/diner resembles. You can tell the owner and staff put in serious hours and hard work to make this such a success. When is this place not crowded?? Sunnyside Up is a true Savannah gem, and a great example of just how far hard work, above board customer service, and exceptional food quality can take you. It's an impressive operation, my hats off to the staff and owner!!

This place was highly recommended by friends. Restaurant was crowded but we were able to find a seat as the food is served quickly by the excellent staff. The chicken tenders and waffles were good. The chicken was very tender and seasoned wonderfully. My wife enjoyed her omelet as well in spite of some of the ham chunks being overcooked/burnt.

First time here and the service was amazing! Ella was our server and she was amazing and very courteous. Also, the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely eat here when I visit Savannah, Ga in the future.

Easily the best breakfast place in Savannah! The food is *fantastic* and it’s quickly delivered to your table by friendly servers. Portions are big enough that you can have leftovers! The atmosphere is so welcoming that you can comfortably dine alone, but it would also be a really cute place to bring family or close friends. Love it!

I had tenders and waffles. You get 3 chicken tenders, which were big. The chicken tenders were seasoned perfectly and went well with the waffle. I added a side of scrambled eggs too. I will definitely visit again when in Savannah

Shrimp and Grits were delicious! The waitress was also very nice. She even gave me a fresh cup of sweet tea to go!

I always love eating at Sunnyside up with an elderly that I used to care for before he passed. It was his favorite place to eat. Now it's a place I can go for good food and beautiful memories!

awesome food and awesome people, had some fresh blueberry pancakes. sitting at the bar is great, you get the whole experience. the staff is a family and treats their costumers as family as well. great environment for a quick breakfast as well.

The beef omelette was amazing! Beat grits in Georgia! My husband got the chicken tenders and waffle and the chicken was so juicy. Clean restaurant and good service! Definitely recommend!

When I'm visiting Savannah I eat here almost every day for breakfast! I love the shrimp and grits and my husband loves the chicken and waffles! My kids love the pancakes! Always fresh and made to order and you can't beat the prices!

This place is a breakfast MACHINE! You know the food is going to be good, when the parking lot is full... then you open the restaurant door to a packed house! We had an amazing waitress! I must say... the pancakes are delicious. So... if you have a little patience (and honestly we didn't wait long for our food) and are willing to sit and listen to the bustle of people chatting... the food was great!

This place is small, busy and packed with super delicious food! So much to choose from, me and my husband came from Maryland for a wedding and was looking for a diner style restaurant, the cooks made everything perfect and the waiters were so efficient, the overall experience was so great we had to bypass the free breakfast at the hotel and go back the next day, we highly recommend you try this place.... happy eating!

The food is outstanding here. Every time we are in Savannah we make it a point to eat breakfast there. You will love the food and the service too.

I decided to order brunch through Uber apps. I brought the bag inside with a Lysol wipe (covid precautions as I’m high risk) got the food on the table and opened up the lid of my sons waffle. There was a ROACH right under the syrup.. disgusted I open mine to find jelly embedded in my solid stale grits. I will never order from here again and the health department should take a closer look in the kitchen.

Great little place. Older location but well maintained. Food was very good for breakfast. Hash browns were excellent. Our server was also very attentive and polite.

I had a sausage and egg sandwich. It was quick and hot. Wii was an awesome waiter.

Sunnyside Up has a nice diner feel, flavorful food, and a friendly staff. It was very busy, but the food came out fast. Most of the customers seemed to know someone else in the restaurant, so it seemed most of them were regulars. I enjoyed my experience, and will definitely visit again when I return to Savannah.

So I came here today to get some salmon croquettes but it’s Sunday and they ran out but I got the fried catfish, cheese grits, eggs and toast... EVERYTHING was GOOD ..like I almost didn’t come but I’m so glad I did new breakfast spot when I’m in town .they had little hot sauce and sugar containers ready to go Prepaid for everything.. again food was The 💣

This place has the best common mans burger hands down. Especially early hours of the morning. You never leave hungry or disappointed or with regrets. Delicious breakfast food. Fluffy omelettes. Sandwiches. Fried fish? Yes! Hand battered fried fingers? Yes!
